DreamFlight

Sometimes working with cliches is fun. Doodled this in a history class last semester cause I was bored out of my mind. Decided to make a full-fledged illustration out of it.

Observational Paintings at the Happiest Place on Earth

I like Disneyland. Okay, that's quite an understatement right there. I LOVE DISNEYLAND. (definitely more accurate) Growing up in Southern CA, the park has always been a major part of my life. Oftentimes I go there by my lonesome, taking along a sketchbook. One day a little over a year ago I decided that I wanted to try something new. I had bought a little watercolour travel kit and was curious whether or not I could paint in the the park. The Answer? Yes. It was great fun, as Disneyland offers some unique architecture and landscape to paint. I never did finish my first piece though.

And then a couple of months ago I decided I wanted to paint there again. I like going to the parks alone when I go specifically to draw because it means I have the freedom to roam around and stay put for as long as I like. It's great.

I need to go back there to paint again. :< As soon as this semester's over I think I shall.

Greetings Program!

Okay! Give me room. Here we go!

I've been experimenting with blogs today, seeing which formats I like better. So far I'm really liking Blogger! I think I might stick around a while. :)

Anyways. I'll be posting my art here. :) Mostly original, although perhaps a few pieces of fanart will find it's way here once in a while. I'll probably also post some musings and opinions about things too.
